On the 20th of March, Hermione Homes had the privilege of participating in CC Forum, the global platform where governments, scientists, corporations, and visionary startups come together to shape the future. It is a space where innovation meets responsibility, and where bold ideas are transformed into action.

At Hermione, we think that these aspects should become part of our agenda: to support innovation, empower companies committed to positive impact, and contribute to communities that are building a more sustainable future.

Even as some Western governments show signs of stepping back from the green agenda, we remain undeterred. At Hermione Homes, we believe that every organisation, large or small, has a role to play. Doing our part is not optional; it is essential.

Family offices, though only around 5% currently prioritise sustainability, must become more dynamic and responsive to the changing global blueprint. Encouragingly, the next generation is far more attuned to environmental and social responsibility than those before them. There is hope, and it is growing.

A Moment That Moved Us All

One of the most powerful moments of the Forum came from the 4est4all Foundation, represented by Flora Dutra (standing in the picture above) and Ian Redmond, as a witness, participant in the panel, famous for his lifelong work with mountain gorillas and elephants, alongside David Attenborough.

They shared the daily dangers faced by those defending the Amazon from the pressures of plantation multinationals, landowners, and poachers. Their work documenting every change in the rainforest is nothing short of vital. The Amazon, after all, is the lungs of our planet.

The emotional peak of the event was the Indios propitiatory rite, performed in the presence of three Indigenous leaders who continue to protect their ancestral lands from the greed of the Western world. Their courage, dignity, and spiritual connection to the land reminded us why this fight matters.

Our Commitment

Hermione Homes leaves CC Forum with renewed determination. We will continue to champion innovation, sustainability, and community-driven progress. We will continue to listen, learn, and act. And we will continue to believe that a better future is not only possible, but also our responsibility.
